How long does the therapy process last?

The length of treatment depends on several factors, including how much time and energy you can invest in treatment between sessions, how long the pattern has been in place, and the type of goals you would like to accomplish. Some of our clients come to counseling for only a few sessions for a parent consultation or relationship tune up. Others benefit from weekly sessions for several months or longer in order to learn new skills while receiving ongoing support and coaching. During your initial consultation, we encourage you to discuss your goals and treatment plan with your therapist.

How can I get started?

We have a live receptionist answering our phones during business hours, so just call our office at (919) 428-2766 ext. 0 and you can schedule an appointment. If you prefer to contact us by email, fill out our contact form online and we will respond http://www.orensteinsolutions.com/contact/.

How do I know which therapist will be the best fit?

We offer complimentary 15 minute phone consultations in case you would like to speak to one of our clinicians before making an appointment. In that case, let our receptionist know, and she will connect you with one of our therapists. You can also learn about our clinicians by visiting the about us page on our website. You can read about each clinician’s background and watch a brief video introduction.

What are your hours?

Our office has reception Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST.  For your convenience, several of our clinicians offer evening and Saturday appointments. Please let our office know if you need of a specific time or day, so they can let you know which therapists are available.

How do you protect my confidentiality?

We want you to feel safe and comfortable sharing what’s important to you in our sessions, knowing this information will be kept private. Our practice places the utmost importance on maintaining your confidentiality and your trust. To that end, we have very thoughtful policies in place to maintain your privacy. The law respects the doctor-patient privilege with a few exceptions (e.g., if an individual poses a dangerous threat to self or others). You will find more details about your confidentiality in our consent form. You are also welcome to discuss this with your therapist or
psychiatrist at any time.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We request full payment for services rendered at the time of each session. Our practice accepts cash (exact change please), checks payable to “Orenstein Solutions, P.A.” as well as major credit cards, including Master Card, Visa, American Express, and Discover. We do not accept payment directly from insurance companies.

Can we by reimbursed by our insurance company?

Please note we are not on any managed care panels, but are considered “authorized out-of-network providers” for most plans. This means that if you have out-of-network benefits, you may receive some reimbursement for our services if you file claims directly with your insurance company. At your request, we will gladly provide you with a billing statement that complies with insurance requirements. We know that navigating insurance can be confusing – our Insurance 101 document provides tips to help you better understand your benefits and make the filing process as easy as possible.

Why is your practice out-of-network?

Our practice has made an intentional choice to remain out-of-network in order to put our clients first.  The therapists at Orenstein Solutions  customize care according to our expertise and your unique needs, not to insurance dictates.  By being out-of-network, we are also able to safeguard details of your care, honoring your privacy.

What should I find out about my benefits?

To find out the details of your plan, call the number on the back of your INSURANCE card and talk with a customer service representative. While on the phone you should ask:
– Do I have out-of-network benefits?
– Do I need to reach a deductible before I can use my out-of-network benefits?
– How should I submit the receipts my therapist gave me?
– How long does the reimbursement process take?
– Which services are covered (e.g., couples therapy, psychological testing, phone sessions)?
